She enjoys Pilates, weight lifting, shopping, reading, reality television, dirty martinis, traveling, and lying down without hearing “Mom!” every three minutes. Courtney Burke is a Virginia-based artist whose work blends a wide range of styles, from detailed pyrography and pencil realism to Renaissance portraiture, Impressionist painting, and Rococo ornamentation. Her evolving collections reflect personal experiences, each piece capturing the emotion and story of a particular moment in time. Investing countless hours into her process, Courtney uses a distinctive mixed-media approach that pushes the boundaries of texture and depth. She seamlessly combines woodburning with oil painting, and layers in hand-drawn details, gilding, foil, and acrylics to create intricate, one-of-a-kind works. “My artwork is deeply personal—rooted in everyday beauty and the emotions tied to memory,” she says. “My body inspires me—its strength, movement, and history. I’m drawn to still-life vignettes, nostalgic objects, and the reflections of my own childhood through my children. Love, in all its forms, is at the heart of my creativity.” Courtney finds magic in the fleeting and imperfect: the grain of film photography, the motion of water, and the quiet power of simplicity. Movement—exercise as play and empowerment—reconnects her to her body and joy. Her work is a celebration of capability, memory, and the meaningful moments that shape us.

Coming soon!
Simply put—absolutely, yes.
If you’ve been craving time to reconnect with yourself—not just the roles you play or the expectations you carry—this retreat is for you.
If you’re tired of the pressure to look a certain way, achieve more, or “fix” yourself—this is your reminder that you don’t need fixing. Which, if you didn’t know, Orofino Wellness does NOT believe a small body is the representation of health. Show up exactly as you are—your body is welcome here.
If you want to move your body in ways that feel good (not punishing), eat without shame, and explore confidence that isn’t performative—you belong here.
This weekend was built for the people who are ready to feel at home in their bodies, in their communities, and in their own voice. You don’t need to arrive with anything but an open mind and a willingness to show up as you are.
You’ll leave with more than just memories (though there will be plenty of those, too). You’ll walk away with:
A grounded sense of self-confidence that isn’t about appearance—but rooted in self-trust and appreciation for all that makes you, uniquely you.
Tools for intuitive movement and eating that feel nourishing, not rigid. You deserve a relationship with food and exercise that brings you true joy, not stress and defeat.
A deeper connection to your body and inner voice, through our range of movement sessions, discussion panels, and interactive workshops. We’ll cover a range of topics within the wellness space like mental health, intuitive eating, and more!
New friendships and meaningful conversations to connect on the real-life stuff no one talks about. You will be seen, safe, and supported.
A reminder that you are not alone in this journey of life—and you can make it a beautiful one. One filled with the foods you love, movement that brings you true joy, and community that doesn’t care about the size of your body or how you look.
Because we’re told from a young age that confidence is about how we look—not how we feel.
Because we’re praised for being small-bodied, saying the “right” things, and fitting into society’s mold.
Because we believe YOU deserve to not just feel, but truly be empowered, confident, and secure in your body. Exactly as you are today.
And because reclaiming your confidence on YOUR own terms? That’s radical. And it changes everything.
This retreat matters because you matter. And your version of confidence is worth celebrating, exploring, and owning.
