Pilates Teacher Training in Fredericksburg: What Makes Our Pilates Program Top-Notch

As we approach a new round of Pilates teacher training in Fredericksburg here at Orofino Wellness, I’m reminded just how special our studio truly is. (Not to toot our own horn or anything…)
There are tons of places to earn your Pilates certification, but, like most things, we do things a little different than the usual players.
Learn From an Experienced Instructor
First, we bring in an incredibly seasoned instructor trainer, Fay Grove. She is a Master instructor trainer with Balanced Body. Fay is kind and meticulous. Just what you want in an instructor trainer.
Support That Goes Beyond the Classroom
After doing the in-person training, we welcome all instructors in training to do a mentorship program here at the studio. They embark on completing their practice teaching hours and we guide them along the way so that they become confident instructors.
As they work through 90 practice teaching hours, we audit their classes and get feedback from participants. You may have seen the FREE classes on our
schedule. That’s what they are there for, to create a space where you can take some free classes and they can practice their skills!
Building Confident, Certified Pilates Instructors
When apprentice instructors are good and ready, we add them to the official schedule and they finish their requirements to complete their Balanced Body Pilates certification. The last step is a written exam and practical test out. It’s a process that requires time, dedication, and a love for Pilates.
All that to say that becoming a Certified Pilates Instructor isn’t easy, but we make it easier by supporting our instructors through the process.
