New month = new schedule.
While that’s not always the case, it’s pretty common around here.
And I know that change is hard. But it’s also a constant at Orofino Wellness, and in life.
The success of your Pilates practice requires consistency. In fact, the success of any healthy habit hinges on whether you can stick with it long term.
What Pilates at Orofino Wellness doesn’t require is taking from the same instructor every week, taking the same format, or even practicing at the same studio every time.
Why? Because variety really does matter. It keeps your body guessing so you continue to improve over time.
Why Variety Matters
It’s easy to assume that progress comes from doing the exact same thing over and over again.
But in Pilates classes at Orofino Wellness, consistency is about showing up, not staying stuck in one routine.
Trying a different instructor might give you a cue that finally clicks.
A different format might challenge muscles in a new way.
A different day of the week might shift your energy entirely.
That’s not disrupting your progress. That is your progress.
What You Can Expect in Every Class
Even though the schedule may shift, there are a few things you can expect every single time you walk into class here.
Care
You are cared for here.
Your instructor cares about you as an individual and about the class as a whole. You’re not just a body in the room. You’re not just a name on the roster.
You are unique, and we see you.
Connection
You’ll be encouraged to check in with your body.
Your instructor will respect you when you listen to what your body needs. You’ll be cued to breathe. You’ll be invited to move in a way that supports you that day.
Pilates isn’t about pushing through at all costs. It’s about paying attention.
Confidence
Your instructor wants you to build confidence in your Pilates practice, and to take that confidence with you into the rest of your life.
We do that by educating you about your body and about Pilates. Sometimes that looks like helping you believe you can do a movement before you actually do.
Little by little, that confidence builds.
Embrace the Change
So as we head into March, and what may feel like the 100th iteration of a new schedule, I hope you feel inspired to try something different.
Take a class with a different instructor, explore a format you haven’t tried yet, and maybe switch up your usual day.
